Preámbulo

It could be heard throughout the whole house. The sweet rhythms of “Let ‘em in” by Paul McCartney & Wings. She loved that melody and listened to it frequently in the company of her two children and….the one on the way.

She was carefully preparing all she needed for the arrival of their third son. She was perfuming the kids clothes with alhucema* and rosemary. The house was full of that magical scent that announces the arrival of a newborn.

 

 

In the summer of ‘86

“Sea, sand and music” comprises dreams, fantasies and stories of a family. I wrote the first of the three tales that make it up while we were vacationing, at cocal San Antonio in Chicxulub Puerto, Yucatan.
